The first step to replace the front door check requires removal of the door trim panel. After pulling back the forward portion of the door panel water deflector you can reach the check. After disconnecting both the door check from body bolt and the check from door nuts the check can be properly extracted from the door frame. Start by inserting the check into the door before proceeding with installation according to the fastener notice while tightening check nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Install the check arm to the front body hinge pillar bolt after tightening it to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Afterwards install the door trim panel along with the water deflector.
