How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Corvette?

In order to replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, disconnect the negative Battery Cable and lift up the vehicle first. Remove the Starter and step up the ckp sensor electrical connector, make sure to clean around the ckp to avoid the debris getting inside the engine. Next, take out the ckp sensor retaining bolt and subsequently ckp sensor. Installation reading: start with installation of the ckp sensor and using the retaining bolt, fix it to a torque of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Reconnect the ckp sensor electrical connector, replace the Starter, lower the vehicle, and reconnect the negative Battery Cable. Finally, program the transmitters and execute the ckp system variation learn procedure.
