How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 2 on 2002 Cadillac Eldorado?

Begin sensor replacement of Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 2 by elevating and supporting the vehicle properly. First disconnect the electrical connector from the pre- or post-converter oxygen sensor while maintaining a minimum engine temperature of 48°C (120°F) for easy sensor extraction. Erase the existing installation of the pre- or post-converter oxygen sensor. The sensor threads should receive anti-seize compound (P/N 5613695 or equivalent) during installation since new service sensors come with this compound applied already. Tightly install the pre- or post-converter oxygen sensor using 41 N.m (30 lb ft) torque. After checking the engine temperature exceeds 48°C (120°F) reconnect the pre- or post-converter oxygen sensor electrical connector before securely placing the connectors under the harness heat shield to reach your final stage.
