Initiating heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 2 sensor 1 replacement requires vehicle elevation and support followed by removal of the front splash shield. Before sensor replacement disconnect the front Oxygen Sensor electrical connector then wait until the engine exceeds 48°c (120°F) so that extraction becomes simpler. Extract the front Oxygen Sensor from the front Exhaust Manifold. Installation requires application of anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or equivalent to reused sensor threads while new service sensors already have this compound pre-applied. The front Oxygen Sensor goes into position within the front Exhaust Manifold before you tighten it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft). Reconnect the front Oxygen Sensor electrical connection then reinstall the front splash shield and lower the vehicle.
