2001 Chevrolet Venture Ride Height Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Ride Height Sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?
A: Start by removing the ELC/TRAILER fuse and raise along with supporting the vehicle. The ride height sensor connector should be disconnected from its underbody rail position. Detach the ride height sensor link from the tie rod ball stud before uninstalling ride height sensor bracket bolts/screws and removing the sensor together with its bracket. Proceed to remove all bolts/screws which secure the sensor. Affix the ride height sensor onto the bracket before you tighten its height sensor bolts/screws to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.). Install the ride height sensor connected to its bracket onto the vehicle by tightening the height sensor bracket bolts/screws to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) tension. Replace the ride height sensor link to the tie rod ball stud before connecting the sensor to underbody rail and restoring the sensor connector. Lower the vehicle before reinstalling the ELC/TRAILER fuse and checking for correct system functioning through an operation check.
