2000 Chevrolet Venture Ride Height Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Ride Height Sensor on 2000 Chevrolet Venture?
A: The ride height sensor replacement begins with removing the ELC/TRAILER fuse then supporting the vehicle while raising it into position. Remove the connector of the ride height sensor from the underbody rail while detaching it. First detach the ride height sensor link from the tie rod ball stud before unfastening screws and bolts that secure the sensor bracket. Start by disconnecting the ride height sensor equipment bracket from the vehicle combined with the sensor bracket hardware. Install the ride height sensor to its bracket before securing height sensor bolts/screws at 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.). The installation of the ride height sensor with its bracket should be performed by securing them back onto the vehicle using 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) torque on height sensor bracket bolts/screws. Refit the ride height sensor link to the tie rod ball stud while attaching the sensor connector to the underbody rail before reconnecting the sensor connector. Perform a system operation check after you lower the vehicle then reinstall the ELC/TRAILER fuse for verifying proper system functionality.
