How to service and repair the rear door striker on 2001 Chevrolet Metro?

When servicing or repairing the rear Door Striker drivers should start by marking the position of the lock striker on the rear door jamb because it will help with realignment. You should extract the lock striker from the door jamb through the removal of its 2 screws. Secure the lock striker once again to the door jamb by using the 2 screws during installation. The adjustment of space between door and lock striker should be set at 13-15 mm (0.51-0.59 in) using shims to add or remove. After lining up the center of the Door Lock with the striker shaft you need to adjust the position of the striker from up to down.
