How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on 2000 Buick Century?

Between servicing the Throttle Position Sensor, one has to turn off the ignition and remove (unplug) the tp sensor electrical connector. Unscrew 2 tp sensor attaching screws and pull out the tp sensor with its o-ring. For the installation, begin by installing the new tp sensor o-ring. Install the tp sensor located on the Throttle Body assembly with throttle valve in the normal closed idle position. A thread-locking compound like loctite (R) 262, gm part no. 1052624, or an equivalent should be applied to the 2 tp sensor attaching screws before reinstall. Tightening the screws to 2.0 n.m (18 lb in), the tp sensor electrical connector must be reconnected.
