Start the procedure by turning off ignition power while elevating the vehicle. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector. Users should select anti-seize compound containing graphite particles suspended in fluid with glass beads since the graphite evaporates but glass beads help with thread extraction. The compound comes pre-applied on new sensors and service sensors. To reinstall a removed sensor apply anti-seize compound to its threads using a Heated Oxygen Sensor socket (J 39194-B). Use the Heated Oxygen Sensor socket (J 39194-B) to extract the heated oxygen sensor after its heating. To install the heated oxygen sensor/catalyst monitor apply anti-seize compound (P/N 5613695) or a suitable substitute to its threads. Use the Heated Oxygen Sensor socket (J 39194-B) to install the heated oxygen sensor then tighten it to 42 N.m (31 lb ft). After finishing reconnect the sensor electrical connector and drop the vehicle.
