How to service the camshaft position sensor on 2000 Buick Century?

The Camshaft Position Sensor service requires a first step of turning off ignition and removing the serpentine Drive Belt. First disconnect the sensor electrical connector before removing the Power Steering Pump and its attaching bolt to take out the sensor. Perform an inspection of the sensor for wear alongside assessment of cracks and leakage when you do not plan to replace it. Clean engine oil should be used to lubricate the o-ring before sensor installation while replacing any damaged o-rings. Place the Camshaft Position Sensor in position before tightening its retaining bolt to 10 n.m (8 lb ft). Reengineer the electrical connection of the sensor after which the Power Steering Pump returns and the serpentine Drive Belt gets reinstalled.
