Next disconnect the Spark Plug wire from the wire separators. The proper installation of Spark Plug wire boots requires you to push them sideways because improper seating can generate wire core erosion which could trigger engine misfires or internal damage. The Distributor should receive the Spark Plug wire before the connection to each Spark Plug and subsequent attachment to the wire separators. The correct wire placement from before the service needs to stay preserved. A proper boot installation requires a sideways push inspection to confirm correct seating followed by boot replacement for loose fits and new dielectric grease applications on each wire-boot connection.

How to replace the RH spark plug wires on GMC Yukon?

The replacement process for right side ignition cable(s) starts with removing the right front wheelhouse liner along with extracting these cables through the wheel opening. Replace any loose boot placements during reinstallation. Replace the right front wheelhouse liner if you have replaced any right side ignition cable.
