How to replace the fuel pressure sensor on GMC Sierra 1500?

A proper replacement of the Fuel Pressure Sensor begins with elevating and supporting the vehicle. The Fuel Pressure Sensor requires removal of the chassis wiring harness electrical connector. A shop towel should be wrapped around the Fuel Pressure Sensor fitting to catch leaking fuel but remove the sensor from the fuel line after which discard the o-ring seal. Apply clean engine oil to the new Fuel Pressure Sensor o-ring before placing it onto its corresponding fuel line fitting. A shop towel wrapped around the Fuel Pressure Sensor should be used for leak absorption before removing it from the fuel line. Place the Fuel Pressure Sensor on the fuel line with gentle torque of 15 nm (11 lb ft). Integrate the chassis wiring harness electrical connector to the Fuel Pressure Sensor while the vehicle is lowered downward. After turning on the ignition with engine off for 2 seconds, the user must let the ignition run for 10 seconds. Repeat the ignition turn on process with the engine off to check for fuel leakage.

How to replace the fuel pressure sensor on GMC Yukon?

Vehicle owners must detach the front propeller shaft when replacing the Fuel Pressure Sensor only on vehicles with 4 wheel drive (4WD). First disconnect the chassis wiring harness electrical connector from the Fuel Pressure Sensor. Then use a shop towel to cover the Fuel Pressure Sensor fitting which will absorb any leaking fuel. To replace the Fuel Pressure Sensor you should first remove it from the fuel line and discard its o-ring seal. Clean engine oil must be applied to the new o-ring before you install it on the fuel line fitting. Place another shop towel on the fitting of the Fuel Pressure Sensor to prevent fuel leakage before fitting the sensor to the line. Fasten the Fuel Pressure Sensor to its fitting on the fuel line by torques to 15 nm (11 lb ft). The chassis wiring harness electrical connector needs installation onto the Fuel Pressure Sensor before lowering the vehicle. Check for fuel leaks by first keeping the ignition on while the engine stays off for two seconds and then making the ignition off for ten seconds followed by another two-second ignition on period with the engine still off. During this sequence inspect for any fuel leakage. After installing the front propeller shaft you must reinstall it only when the vehicle includes 4wd.

A proper replacement of the Fuel Pressure Sensor begins with elevating and supporting the vehicle. The Fuel Pressure Sensor requires removal of the chassis wiring harness electrical connector. A shop towel should be wrapped around the Fuel Pressure Sensor fitting to catch leaking fuel but remove the sensor from the fuel line after which discard the o-ring seal. Apply clean engine oil to the new Fuel Pressure Sensor o-ring before placing it onto its corresponding fuel line fitting. A shop towel wrapped around the Fuel Pressure Sensor should be used for leak absorption before removing it from the fuel line. Place the Fuel Pressure Sensor on the fuel line with gentle torque of 15 nm (11 lb ft). Integrate the chassis wiring harness electrical connector to the Fuel Pressure Sensor while the vehicle is lowered downward. After turning on the ignition with engine off for 2 seconds, the user must let the ignition run for 10 seconds. Repeat the ignition turn on process with the engine off to check for fuel leakage.

To replace the Fuel Pressure Sensor you should first remove it from the fuel line and discard its o-ring seal. Clean engine oil must be applied to the new o-ring before you install it on the fuel line fitting. Place another shop towel on the fitting of the Fuel Pressure Sensor to prevent fuel leakage before fitting the sensor to the line. Fasten the Fuel Pressure Sensor to its fitting on the fuel line by torques to 15 nm (11 lb ft). The chassis wiring harness electrical connector needs installation onto the Fuel Pressure Sensor before lowering the vehicle. Check for fuel leaks by first keeping the ignition on while the engine stays off for two seconds and then making the ignition off for ten seconds followed by another two-second ignition on period with the engine still off. During this sequence inspect for any fuel leakage. After installing the front propeller shaft you must reinstall it only when the vehicle includes 4wd.
