In order to replace the negative Battery Cable, you would have to remove such accessible connectors as the negative Battery Cable and the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the battery current sensor. Disengage the negative Battery Cable clip from the auxiliary bussed electrical center (BEC), the negative Battery Cable ground terminal bolt from the left side engine block boss. I would advise you to take out the negative Battery Cable and the engine wiring harness ground leads from the engine block boss. Lift and support the vehicle, then, and remove the engine wiring harness ground lead bolt from the framework and pull out the engine wiring harness ground lead and the negative Battery Cable lead from the framework. Lower the vehicle and take out the negative Battery Cable assembly from under the positive Battery Cable. For installation, place the negative Battery Cable assembly at the vehicle routing it under the positive Battery Cable and lift the vehicle again. Position the negative Battery Cable lead behing the engine wiring harness ground lead on top of the engine and position in the frame slot, the anti-rotation tab of the engine harness ground lead into the hole in the frame. Attach the engine wiring harness ground lead to the frame bolt and bolt with a force of 9 nm (80 lb in). Lower the vehicle, attach the engine wiring harness ground lead behind the negative Battery Cable lead and bond it onto the engine block boss. Next, connect the negative Battery Cable ground terminal to the engine block boss bolt and tighten it to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Attach the negative Battery Cable clip to the auxiliary bec, attach the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the battery current sensor, and then reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
