Apply a j 39637 (Wiper Arm Puller) to Wiper Arm removal when it stays locked on the pivot shaft because natural rocking does not work. Locate the Wiper Arm blade on the Wiper Arm and take it off for safety. Also remove all dirt from the pivot shaft knurls using a soft brush. Insert the Wiper Arm blade onto the new Wiper Arm then take off the Wiper Blade from the windshield to install the Wiper Arm onto the Wiper Arm pivot shaft . Position the Wiper Blade tip directly above the round dot in the blackened windshield area and place the passenger side blade tip against its alignment dot on the windshield before doing the same for the driver side blade tip. Use a torque wrench to install the Wiper Arm nut reaching 33 to 38 nm torque without losing the Wiper Blade position. Replace the old Wiper Arm covers before securing the hood.
