How to replace the wiper arm on Chevrolet Lumina?

Put the keys in the accy position and activate the Wiper Switch to the pulse mode before replacing the Wiper Arm. Stop the engine when the Wiper Arm rests in its inner wipe position without motion. Take off the Wiper Arm after disconnecting the hose from the nozzle and removing the nut cover. Extract the nut from this assembly and the wiper transmission drive shaft. You can use the Wiper Arm puller tool part number j39822 to disconnect the Wiper Arm from its position on the transmission drive shaft. To park the wiper transmission properly install it in the accy setting then turn the wiper/washer switch on and off while rotating the ignition to off. Set the Wiper Arm onto the wiper transmission drive shaft below the ramp park stop surface before pushing it all the way down. Nuts must be threaded onto the wiper transmission drive shaft and Wiper Arm components before they are tightened to a torque limit of 23 n.m (17 lb ft). Place the cover on the nut while raising the Wiper Arm toward the park ramp. Put windshield washer solvent on the hose to make it easier to connect it with the nozzle before attaching it to the nozzle. Test if the wiper arms fit tightly on both park ramps while monitoring the 55-132mm (2.17-5.20 inch) wipe range from the driver's wiper tip to the edge of the windshield during low-speed operation on wet glass.
