How to replace a water pump on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Begin replacing the Water Pump by first emptying the coolant and then taking off the fan and shroud assembly with the Drive Belt. Insert the fan clutch wrench tool j 41240 onto the Water Pump Pulley to lock it in place before removing bolt nuts. Remove fan clutch wrench j 41240 and the Water Pump Pulley hardware. To proceed with the Water Pump replacement you must firstunbind the pump bolts then detach the Water Pump itself. Check and replace the Water Pump while also removing and throwing away the damaged gasket. Place the Water Pump on its new gasket then fix it down with bolts by tightening them to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Put the Water Pump Pulley back in place and fasten its bolts at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs) torque value while holding the pulley with the fan clutch wrench (J 41240). Remove the fan clutch wrench model j 41240 and put on the Drive Belt first, then place the fan assembly. Complete the coolant system by adding the correct coolant mix and check for any fluid escapes.
