First, lift and support the vehicle and remove the tire and wheel to replace the upper Control Arm. Next, use a pinch bolt and nut to remove the upper
Ball Joint of the upper Control Arm. Disconnect the upper Control Arm from the
Steering Knuckle and the abs wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the upper Control Arm. When working the left side, unclamp the battery tray and pry out on the inner fender body panel to get to the forward part of the bolt. Unbolt the upper Control Arm mounting bolts and remove the upper Control Arm. For installation, set the upper Control Arm into position, pry out the inner fender to expose the frontward bolt and install the upper Control Arm mounting bolts, tightening at 150 nm (111 ft. Lbs.). If the battery tray was removed, install it back and then connect the abs wheel speed sensor wiring harness to the upper Control Arm and on to the Steering Knuckle as you join the upper Control Arm to the Steering Knuckle. Fit the upper Ball Joint to upper Control Arm pinch bolt and nut, and torque to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Finally, reinstall the tire and wheel, reduce the vehicle, and check the front wheel alignment.
