A technician must start the auxiliary blower motor replacement process for TrailBlazer EXT and Envoy XL vehicles by dismounting the right rear quarter trim panel. You need to remove the retaining bolts that are attached to the HVAC module-auxiliary and its retaining nuts underneath the vehicle. Before extracting the auxiliary blower motor from the HVAC module-auxiliary, disconnect the electrical connectors (3,4) and remove the blower motor screws. Install the blower motor-auxiliary by placing it onto the HVAC module-auxiliary then fasten with blower motor-auxiliary screws secured at 2 N.m (18 lb in). The process requires the HVAC module-auxiliary receiving its retaining bolts (3,4) along with electrical connector replacement followed by bolt tightness adjustment to 10 N.m (88 lb in). Reinstall the right rear quarter trim after placing and tightening the retaining nuts to the HVAC module-auxiliary under the vehicle to 10 N.m (88 lb in).
