Service begins with refrigerant recovery before disconnecting the a/c pressure switch electrical connection. Remove the a/c low pressure switch and accumulator retaining nut from its position between the Evaporator. The detachment of the compressor suction hose assembly from the accumulator requires discarding the o-ring seals. The clamp nut needs removal and you should take out the accumulator from your vehicle now. Before installing a new accumulator add refrigerant oil according to the specified refrigerant system capacities. Position the new accumulator inside the vehicle using the accumulator clamp which requires a 10 n.m (88 lb in) tightening force on the clamp nut. The a/c low pressure switch needs reinstallation at 5 n.m (44 lb in) torque level and new o-ring seals must be added. Secure the accumulator to the Evaporator by installing its retaining nut and applying 28 n.m (21 lb ft) torque when finished. Secure the compressor suction hose to the accumulator using nut torque at 48 n.m (35 lb ft). The a/c low pressure switch requires its electrical connector to be reconnected before performing an evacuation and recharge of the a/c system.
