In order to replace the engine front cover, you need to remove Water Pump, crankshaft balancer, drive belt tensioner, power steering pump, and Oil Pump pipe and screen assembly. Lower the vehicle and unbolt the 7mm center bolt and the rest of the engine front cover bolts. Screw 2 bolts into the threaded holes to serve as jack screws and tighten them evenly to release the engine front cover from the engine block, then remove engine front cover and the jack screws. If required, take off the Oil Pump and clean and check the sealing surface of the engine block. If you removed the Oil Pump, replace it. Threading j 44219 into the engine block will help you align yourself, and apply 3 mm (0.12 in) bead of sealer on the engine front cover. Align the Oil Pump to the crankshaft sprocket splines, place the engine front cover over the j 44219, to the engine block, and install the engine front cover bolts. Take the j 44219 off, and install the remaining 2 engine front cover bolts and tighten to 10 nm (89 lb in), and the small center bolt last at 8 nm (71 lb in). Reinstall the Oil Pump pipe and screen assembly, the Power Steering Pump, drive belt tensioner, crankshaft balancer, and the lastly the Water Pump.
