The coolant drainage process must occur before commencing radiator inlet hose replacement on 4.3l engines. You must first decrease the hose clamp tension to detach the maf/iat sensor assembly from the air inlet tube then remove the pcv hose from the air cleaner outlet duct. After removing the retaining wing nut start pivoting the assembly upward until the hinge clip frees itself from the
Throttle Body to disconnect the air inlet tube and resonator. Separate the radiator inlet hose by removing it from the support structure and the Thermostat Housing as well as the radiator before removing it totally. Seam the new radiator inlet hose by first placing it onto the Thermostat Housing followed by attaching it to the radiator and support in succession. Use the hinge clip to position it on the Throttle Body lip before moving the air inlet tube and resonator downward until the mounting stud slots into the air inlet hole to install the retaining wing nut. Finish the installation by reconnecting the maf/iat sensor assembly harness connector, the pcv hose to the air cleaner outlet duct and filling the cooling system.
