To work on the Oil Filter, first, lift and support the vehicle in the appropriate manner. Place your oil drain pan under the engine oil
Drain Plug and remove the engine
Oil Pan Drain Plug. Clean and inspect the Drain Plug, and if necessary make repair or replace, and clean and inspect the sealing surface of the Oil Pan, and if necessary then repair or replace the Oil Pan. Then, replace the Oil Filter and clean the sealing area of the engine block, and if that requires repair or replacement, do it. Clean oil the replacement gasket on the Oil Filter, and install the new Oil Filter, tighten it to 3/4 to 1 full turn after the gasket reaches the mounting surface. Mount the engine Oil Pan Drain Plug and tighten it up to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.), then pour out the oil from the drain pan and lower the vehicle. Replace the engine with new engine oil, and run the engine and look in case of oil leaks. Turn of the engine and let the oil spill out for a few minutes to the Oil Pan. Pull out the oil level indicator from the tube and clean the indicator end using a paper towel or cloth and fix it back into the tube until the handle reaches the top of the tube. No need to return the oil level indicator, hold it down, and inspect the level of oil. Adjust the oil level as required adding or draining the engine oil.
