Take out the evaporator core from the HVAC module assembly case through separation. To install the new evaporator add lubricating oil then place side, upper and lower seals on the evaporator core before fitting it into the HVAC module assembly lower case. Drill the dimples located beside the heat stakes through an inner 5.5 mm (7/32 in) drill bit on the upper case before joining upper and lower cases and finally tightening the screws at 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). Use new screws at the positions where the heat stakes were extracted and tighten them to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). First connect the electrical connector of the air temperature actuator after which install and tighten to 15 N.m (13 lb in) the mode actuator using screws. The recirculation housing needs to be attached to the HVAC module assembly while screws should be tightened to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).
