The needle-nose pliers (J 39400-A) should be used to hold the A/C Orifice Tube until a turning motion combined with a gentle push will loosen it enough to remove the tube. Check the A/C Orifice Tube for a broken plastic frame, damaged or clogged inlet filter and filter coated with metal debris before deciding whether to replace it. After tube reuse the operator needs to clean the inlet filter through low-pressure filtered shop air and needs to discard o-ring seals. The o-ring seals should be lubricated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil before installation using a careful insertion of the A/C Orifice Tube into the condenser tube while avoiding the contact area of the inlet filter. Put back the condenser tube and the vacuum Brake Booster as well as the air cleaner assembly. To complete the procedure evacuate and recharge the a/c system followed by using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) for fitting leak tests.
