To replace the Intake Manifold, the Intake Manifold cover and the air cleaner oil duct must also be removed. Pull off the engine harness electrical connectors from the throttle actuator control (TAC), fuel injector harness, and manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Unbolt the engine harness clips from the Intake Manifold and oil level indicator tube, in addition to the fuel injector electric connector's clip. Reposition the vacuum brake booster hose clamp and take off the vacuum brake booster hose. Next, remove thebots to the
Throttle Body then remove to Throttle Body together with seal inspecting the Throttle Body seal being damaged. Remove the evap canister purge tube from the Intake Manifold and the evap solenoid; remove the oil level indicator tube and the
Fuel Rail. Remove the lower bolts and upper bolt and nuts, and remove the Intake Manifold, checking the gasket for any signs of damage. For the installation, if needed, install a new Intake Manifold Gasket, then place the Intake Manifold and fasten it with the upper bolt and nuts, then the lower bolts fastened to 10 nm (89 lb in). Replace the Fuel Rail and oil level indicator tube, then reroute the evap canister purge tube. If necessary, install a new Throttle Body seal, orientate it, and fasten it with bolts tightened to 10 nm (89 lb in). Reconnect the vacuum brake booster hose and its clamp, engine harness clips, and electrical connectors to the fuel injector harness,
MAP Sensor, and tac. Lastly, reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct and the Intake Manifold cover.
