To replace the drum Brake Backing Plate firstly, raise and support the vehicle in addition to removing tire wheel assembly. Afterward, remove the
Brake Drum and
Brake Shoes and subsequently, from the Brake Backing Plate as well as from the
Wheel Cylinder, remove the universal spring. Emission of the rear park brake cable end fitting from the drum Brake Backing Plate, then extracting wheel bearing/hub assembly and the Brake Backing Plate. During the installation process, start with installing the new Brake Backing Plate, but wheel bearing/hub assembly should be installed, too. Now, secure the rear park brake cable end fitting to the Brake Backing Plate, then fit the Wheel Cylinder and the universal spring to the backing plate. Then, you install the brake shoes and adjust the drum brakes. Mount the Brake Drum, bleed the hydraulic brake system (Manual) hydraulic brake system bleeding( Pressure), then reinstall the tire and progression prior to attempting to lower the vehicle.
