In order to replace the accumulator, recover the refrigerant. Next, remove the right wheelhouse splash shield, which comes before the condenser hose assembly and the accumulator's evaporator hose assembly. Next, remove the accumulator bracket bolt and pry out the accumulator from the vehicle along with the bracket. Remove the accumulator from the insulator and bracket. After installation, connect the insulator and the bracket to the new accumulator and add the required amount of new refrigerant oil to the accumulator. Mount and fasten the accumulator bracket to the vehicle using 10 n.m (89 lb in) bolt. Reconnect the condenser hose assembly and the evaporator hose assembly to the accumulator and put back the right wheelhouse splash shield. Take the car down and attempt to recharge the a/c system. Lastly, test for leaks on the fittings of the component by using halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
