Loosen the 3 retaining screws and remove the cover and coil assembly from the choke housing, then push up on the thermostatic coil tang (counterclockwise) until the choke valve is closed. Check that the choke rod is at the bottom of the slot in the choke lever, and insert a plug gauge (an unmarked drill shank is suitable) of the specified size in the hole in the choke housing. The lower edge of the choke coil lever should just contact the side of the plug gauge, and if necessary, bend the choke rod at the indicated point.
