How to replace the power steering hose outlet (recirculating ball) on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500?

Installing a drain pan beneath the vehicle should be the first step in power steering gear outlet hose (RECIRCULATING BALL) replacement procedures. Detach the clamp which holds the hose to the Power Steering Pump before extracting the hose from both the steering gear and the pump unit of the vehicle. Then displace the power steering gear outlet hose from its steering gear position. The installation process should follow the path originally used by the old hose. Route the power steering gear outlet hose until it connects with the Power Steering Pump while placing the clamp to the hose end. Attach the hose to the power steering gear by tightening its outlet fitting to 28 n.m (20 lb ft). The power steering system should have the drain pan removed from beneath the vehicle before bleeding takes place.
