The first step of replacing the Headlamp Washer Pump involves the removal of the lower air deflector and passenger wheelhouse liner. The first step is emptying the solvent container before disconnecting both washer hose and wiring from the pump. Apply one hand to the top of the washer pump before using a flat-bladed tool to loosen it from the washer solvent container. After removing the pump discard the washer pump grommet. Provide the installation instructions by inserting the new washer pump grommet inside the washer solvent container while lubricating the washer pump intake nozzle with clean water. Position the washer pump nozzle inside the washer solvent container keeping it tight until secure and reconnect the electrical connector and washer hose to the pump. First reinstall the liner that covers the front wheelhouse on the passenger side before putting back the lower air deflector. First open the hood then provide washer solvent to the container before closing the hood.
