Begin the installation process by attaching the new ecm bracket securely with its bolts while tightening the bracket bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in) but the remainder of the bolts to 23 n.m (17 lb ft). Begin by bolting down the wire harness retainer and bolt while tightening it to 23 n.m (17 lb ft) before moving onto installing the electrical connector bracket and bolt at 10 n.m (89 lb in) as well as the wiring harness ground wire and bolt which should be bolted at 10 n.m (89 lb in). First install the ecm along with its bolts while tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in) before securing the redundant ground wire with a bolt at 5 n.m (44 lb in). The reconnect process includes joining the lower and upper ecm connectors while you install the ecm/tcm and tcm/ipc and ecm fuses into the underhood Fuse block. Follow the protocol by connecting the battery negative cable then program the ecm while performing an idle learn procedure before using the scan tool to clear all stored dtcs.
