Before handling the left valve guide seal replacement and valve spring adjustment you must take off the left
Camshafts then lift the vehicle. Detach the brace that links the engine
Oil Pan and transaxle case plus the torque converter cover. Place the flywheel holder (J 44214) now and let the vehicle descend to its original position. Set the base plate of the valve spring compressor (J 44211) over the Spark Plug opening to service one cylinder. Use the Spark Plug port adapter j 39313 with air pressure to lock the valve in the Spark Plug hole. Put the valve spring compressor (J 44211) handle and swivel nut over the valve stud. Tighten the swivel nut to just the right point to reach the valve locks. Use a magnet to pull off valve locks then loosen the swivel nut with the compressor arm to deposit the valve spring retainer and spring for removal. You need to use valve guide seal remover & installer tool j 38820 to twist and pull out the old valve guide seal. Apply engine oil to the valve stem and new valve guide seal area then slide on a seal protector before inserting the valve guide seal remover & installer (J 38820). Ii position the valve locks on each valve using the valve keeper installer (J 43059) while tightening the spring compressor nut only enough for access. Fit the valve locks using the valve keeper installer tool j 43059 before taking out the swivel nut and arm of the valve spring compressor j 44211. Follow this procedure once when replacing all the valve seals in your service run. To finish remove air pressure then take off the Spark Plug port adapter from the Spark Plug hole and detach the base plate of the valve spring compressor. Fit the new Spark Plug into the engine before doing the same procedure for any remaining cylinders. Reposition the left camshafts, lift the vehicle and replace the flywheel holder before inserting the torque converter cover and fastening the Oil Pan to transaxle brace while tightening bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Then lower the vehicle.
