The replacement process for underhood electrical center or junction box requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable first. Disconnect the negative Battery Cable from the electrical center through removal of its cover with fastener and disconnect the cable from the electrical center. Separate the electrical connector from the board and detach fasteners that maintain the electrical center board. Start by unlocking the tabs on the electrical center board after which you should lift it up before pulling the harness at its locking tabs for removal. The electrical center needs to be detached from the vehicle by removing fasteners (1, 2). Install the electrical center on the vehicle by using fasteners (1, 2) that need to be tightened to 10 n.m (86 lb in). After installing the harness through the locking tabs you should fasten the electrical center board with fasteners until they reach 7 n.m (62 lb in). Connect the negative cable to the electrical center by tightening its fastener to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) before reattaching the electrical center cover and negative Battery Cable.

Label the wires at the convenience center front before disconnecting the wiring connectors.
