Initially detach the power steering pulley when replacing the Power Steering Pump while setting a drain pan underneath the pump. First disconnect the hose guide bracket from the front pump surface before disconnecting electrical connections when steering has variable effort and then remove both hoses from the pump. The pump removal process begins with taking out the lower intermediate shaft from the steering gear followed by unbolted the rear bracket from the engine block. Finally, the pump leaves the vehicle once all front bolts are removed. The process requires removing a bracket which is located at the back of the pump. Begin pump installation by mounting the bracket to the rear pump surface then tighten rear bracket retaining nuts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). First install the pump before adding the hose guide bracket bolt and securing the bolt which retain the rear bracket to the engine. Fasten the front pump bolts at 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.).
