How to replace the pitman arm on Cadillac Escalade?

To change the Pitman Arm, initially raise and properly support the vehicle. Then the power steering gear should be removed and placed in a vise. Next, remove Pitman Arm nut and washer. Use Pitman Arm puller (J 6632-01) or (J 29107-A) to remove the Pitman Arm from the pitman shaft. To install, see that the new Pitman Arm is fitted on to the power steering gear, then fit a new Pitman Arm washer and nut onto the end of the new Pitman Arm tightening the nut to 250 n.m (184 lb ft). Then, take the power steering gear off the vise, reinstall it, lower the car, then assess the wheel alignment.
