How to replace the accessory drive belt on Cadillac Escalade EXT?

The first step to replace the accessory Drive Belt requires users to loosen the clamps holding the air cleaner outlet duct at the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor before they disconnect the radiator inlet hose clip from the outlet duct and remove the air cleaner outlet duct. The Drive Belt tensioner requires a breaker bar with hex-head socket to rotate its bolt clockwise for belt tension relief. Start by taking off the Drive Belt from its attachment to the pulleys and the Drive Belt tensioner while continuously loosening the tension on the Drive Belt tensioner. Then remove the breaker bar and socket. Check for cleanliness and inspect the belt faces of every wheel in the system. Installation requires the Drive Belt to be positioned around all pulleys except the idler pulley followed by using a breaker bar with hex-head socket on the belt tensioner bolt and rotating it clockwise for belt tension relief. The Drive Belt needs to be installed beneath the idler pulley before the user can ease the belt tensioner and remove the breaker bar along with the socket. Check that the Drive Belt install is accurate before proceeding to align the Throttle Body end duct arrow with the attaching stud. Then secure the outlet duct onto the Throttle Body.
