The first step to replacing the transmission fluid auxiliary cooler on a 4l80-e/4l85-e automatic transmission is to take off the grille assembly. After that, pull off the transmission fluid cooler hoses from the auxiliary cooler and pull out the auxiliary
Oil Cooler bolts and push pins. Once that is done, take the auxiliary Oil Cooler out of the vehicle. Attach the auxiliary Oil Cooler to the car with the bolts into the radiator brace, making sure you tighten them to 12 nm or 106 inch lbs. Be sure to put the push pins in place on the radiator brace, connect the Transmission Oil Cooler lines to the auxiliary cooler, and then attach the grille assembly again.
