How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on Bank 1 on Cadillac CTS?

To replace KS on Bank 1, one is supposed to turn off ignition and elevate and suspend the vehicle. Strap out the wiring harness heat shield for access, and disconnect the KS electrical connector, and removing KS bolt before taking out the KS. For install, install the new KS in place, observing fastener caution and attach with KS bolt 23 Nm (17 lb ft). Reconnect the KS electrical connector, replace the wiring harness heat shield into its original location, and lower the vehicle.
