Transfer this method to remove the Coolant Reservoir outlet hose. First disconnect the two Coolant Reservoir bolts and the Coolant Reservoir nut before partially elevating the air inlet grille panel to access and remove the Coolant Reservoir. Installation requires plunging the Coolant Reservoir tab between air inlet grille screen and reconnecting outlet hose before clamping with hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Tighten the Coolant Reservoir nut to 9 n.m (80 lb in) using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) which allows you to install the inlet hose before readjusting the clamp. Tighten each Coolant Reservoir bolt to 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque. Reattach the vacuum booster connection to the master cylinder after you install its nuts with 25 n.m (18 lb ft) of torque. Align the manual transmission clutch master cylinder reservoir on its bracket then tighten the clutch master cylinder reservoir bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft).

  The primary step to service right-hand drive vehicles' Coolant Reservoir requires coolant drainage. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to loosen the clamp then disconnect the surge tank outlet hose. The brake lines should stay disconnected while the master cylinder separates from the Brake Booster and users extract the surge tank inlet hose. First separate the surge tank bolt followed by the surge tank nut and then remove the lower surge tank bolt. Lift the air inlet grille panel partially before extracting the surge tank and removing the low coolant sensor connector. During installation connect the low coolant sensor electrical connector before putting in the surge tank making sure the surge tank tab faces behind the air inlet grill screen. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to position the outlet hose clamp after you reposition the air inlet grille and connect the surge tank outlet hose. Screw in the surge tank nut until it reaches 9nm (80 inch lbs.) torque then attach the lower surge tank bolt to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). While performing the surge tank bolt installation connect both the surge tank inlet hose and install surge tank bolt and tighten it to a torque value of 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). As the last step fill the cooling system and reconnect the master cylinder to the vacuum booster.
