Begin by lifting the vehicle before supporting it. Start by removing the bolt/screw from the
Steering Knuckle before extracting the Wheel Speed Sensor from the Steering Knuckle. Separate the Wheel Speed Sensor cable using its clips on both the spring strut and the wheel housing. Next disconnect its connector from the wiring harness and pull the sensor away from the vehicle. Inspect the sensor face for metallic particles, dirt, grease, and other contaminants, cleaning as necessary, and check for any damage or contact with the toothed sensor ring; replace the sensor because operational problems emerge from damage throughout the process. During installation push the Wheel Speed Sensor into place by hand without applying excessive force while applying anti-corrosion protection with silicone grease p/n 12345579 or an equivalent product. Connect the wheel speed connector to the wiring harness connector while placing the cable in its clips before mounting the Wheel Speed Sensor into the Steering Knuckle. Affix speed sensor bolt/screw and tighten it to 8nm (71 inch lbs.). Open the diagnostic tester and ensure the Wheel Speed Sensor harness lies beyond the Wheel Speed Sensor range to prevent rubbing against any moving components or wire extension before lowering the vehicle and conducting the abs system check.
