The first step to replace the Body Control Module requires you to separate the instrument panel kids and disconnect the closeout panel lighting connection. Untwist all electrical connectors then unscrew the screws that hold the bcm to the i/p assembly. Follow the fastener notice while attaching the electrical connectors to the Body Control Module. Use a torque tool to fasten the bcm to its mounting place on the i/p with screws tightened to 2 n.m (15 lb in). Replug the closeout panel light electrical connector while putting back the instrument panel cover.
