In order to service and repair the hvac condenser, first recover the refrigerant from the a/c system and drain the cooling system. Take out the cooling fans and the cooling
Fan Shroud and also reset the radiator outlet hose clamp to the water pump housing using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) before removing the radiator outlet hose from the water pump housing and the radiator. Unplug the radiator outlet hose, remove the lower transaxle oil cooler line from the radiator, then the a/c discharge hose nut and hose itself, making sure to cap or tape off any exposed a/c refrigerant systems immediately. Next, unscrew the bolt of the evaporator inlet tube and detach the inlet tube capping or taping it also. Move on to the removal of the radiator and condenser assembly, next the condenser tube clip bolt and clip, then condenser mounting bolts to remove the condenser away from the radiator. Remove the receiver dehydrator upper and lower bracket bolts in order to disconnect it from the condenser discarding the sealing washers. On installation, when replacing condenser, add the prescribed volume of pag oil into it, then clean the sealing surfaces of the a/c refrigerant parts. Post and connect the receiver dehydrator to the condenser by tightening the lower and upper mounting bolts to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Install a new sealing washers. Secure the condenser to the radiator with the bolts for mounting tightened at 6 n.m (53 lb.in. ), followed by the condenser tube clip with its bolt tightened at thus: 2.5 n.m (22 lb.in.). Replace the radiator and condenser assembly, then release the caps or tape from the evaporator inlet tube and the a/c discharge hose, reinstalling new seal washers to both fitting. Jockey the evaporator inlet tube and bolt by placing it in a hole in the condenser block, tightening the bolt to 16 n.m (12 lb ft), and then jockey the a/c discharge hose and nut, with a connection of 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Reconnect the lower transaxle oil cooler line to the radiator and install the radiator outlet hose by using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) both at the radiator and housing of the water pump. Finally, replace the cooling fans with the cooling Fan Shroud then fill the cooling system, evacuate and charging of the a/c system and carrying out the fittings leak test with the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
