Begin by undoing the Thermostat Housing bolts and then remove the housing and finally access the Thermostat. Check the mating surfaces on the Thermostat Housing for dirt then clean them. Begin installation by mounting the new Thermostat followed by Thermostat Housing bolt installation then tighten these bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Use hose clamp pliers (J38185) to guide the hose clamp in position before installing the radiator inlet hose back onto the Thermostat Housing. Complete the cooling system operation then reattach the upper intake manifold panel.
