How to replace the front brake disc (J57) on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?

Begin repair work on the front Brake Disc (J57) after lifting and stabilizing the car as you install disc Brake Disc protectors to shield the ceramic Brake Disc during tire and wheel extraction. You need to disconnect all components before you can take out the tire-section wheel-assembly. Then you must separate the brake caliper bolts. After that you can disconnect the electrical connection of the Brake Pad sensor. Brake caliper support should be done with mechanic wire to protect the brake hose from hydraulic pressure. Discard the Brake Disc retainers when you detect their presence and indicate where the Brake Disc sits on the Wheel Hub before taking out the disc for replacement. Clean the Wheel Hub area of the disc using the rotor resurfacing kit part j-41013 by removing all surface corrosion and debris. Before the installation process start, clean the disc friction surfaces using soap and water or mild denatured alcohol while avoiding brake cleaners. Clean the Wheel Hub mating surface using the j-42450-a Wheel Hub resurfacing kit when 5 mm tool (3/16 in) shows material in cross-drilled holes of the Brake Disc. Install the Brake Disc flat against the Wheel Hub matchmark, then put the brake caliper back in place and tighten its bolts to 175 nm (129 lb ft). Reconnect the Brake Pad wear sensor connection to restore power while you install the tire and wheel components. Also take off the Brake Disc shields. The brake pads should be burnished against the new Brake Disc to enable proper breaking performance.
