  A: Users must begin the upper Intake Manifold (LP1, LY7) replacement process by completing ignition off procedures while removing the fuel injector sight shield. Start by removing the air outlet duct then disconnect the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose from the Intake Manifold and power steering booster pump. Start by removing the purge solenoid valve bracket and then disconnect the purge line from the Intake Manifold and finally remove the Throttle Body harness electrical harness retainer. Only after this you can disconnect the Throttle Body electrical connector. The process starts by removing the brace bolts from the Intake Manifold along with its bracket before disconnecting the positive crankcase ventilation hose from the Intake Manifold and freeing the engine harness on the left side. The mechanic should remove the bolts securing the Intake Manifold rear heat shield and the bolts securing the Intake Manifold while preparing for potential cowl panel shift to extract the right rear bolt. Next take out the Intake Manifold which includes the Throttle Body while also disassembling it for replacement before cleaning it. Connect the electrical connector to the Throttle Body while you install the Throttle Body harness electrical harness retainer before you reconnect the purge line to the Intake Manifold. Reposition the purge solenoid valve bracket before screwing its bolts to 23 nm (17 lb ft). After that connect the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose to the power steering booster pump and Intake Manifold. Complete the installation by mounting the air outlet duct and the fuel injector sight shield.
