How to replace the lower control arm on an AWD on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

Begin by raising the awd vehicle then supporting it with stands and removing the tire followed by the wheel. Begin by removing the air deflector and stabilizer shaft link which operate near the lower Control Arm. Safely remove the Wheel Speed Sensor while using hand tools to prevent ball stud rotation during both removal and installation. Work with the j 43631 (Ball Joint Separator) to free up the ball joint stud from the Steering Knuckle after removing the lower ball joint nut. To gain clearance for the power steering gear installation raise the bottom Control Arm yoke off its stud before putting the power steering gear into position. Work on the power steering gear retaining bolts until loose then extract the lower Control Arm to cradle nuts and bolts before removing the lower Control Arm. Place the lower Control Arm in position before installing cradle bolts then torque them with the Control Arm at standard vehicle riding height. Use cradle nuts to secure the power steering gear into position while tightening them to 135 nm (96 lb ft). Then complete the installation by securing the power steering marterial retaining bolts. Start by connecting the shock module yoke to the lower Control Arm nut through which the ball stud should remain steady. Tighten the lower Control Arm ball joint nut to 40 nm (130 lb ft) before continuing with another 120-degree rotation. Begin by reinstalling the Wheel Speed Sensor after placing the stabilizer shaft link to the lower Control Arm before installing the air deflector and the tire and wheel. To finish the installation process lower the vehicle and inspect the front end alignment.
