How to replace the alternator on a 4.2L engine on 2009 GMC Envoy?

In order to change the generator in a 4.2L engine, the battery negative cable should be disconnected, the drive belt removed and the A/C line mounting bracket bolt removed. Take off the engine lift hook and generator mounting bolts. Install the generator, engine lift hook and A/C line bracket again and then reconnect the battery negative cable.
