Start by turning off ignition before changing the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. First disconnect both the electrical connector and the hose/pipe which run to the evap canister purge solenoid valve. Begin by removing the retaining bolt which lets you pull out the evap canister purge solenoid valve from its position in the Intake Manifold. Place the evap canister purge solenoid valve in the right position on the Intake Manifold but always follow fastener cautions. Screw in the retaining bolt followed by tightening it to 10 nm (89 lb in). The evap canister purge solenoid valve repair requires installation of both hose/pipe and electrical connector to its component.
