  A: You need to empty the cooling system before starting the Water Pump replacement work. First take off the Drive Belt and then get rid of the right engine strut mount while you uninstall the right engine mount strut bracket. Put the Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104) in place and uninstall the Water Pump Pulley bolts and pulley from the assembly. First take out all Water Pump bolts and the pump itself while discarding its old seal. Prep the Water Pump sealing surfaces before putting in a fresh Water Pump seal and pump. Set the bolts in the Water Pump using 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque and put back the Water Pump Pulley and its bolts while keeping the pulley secured with the Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104). Reinstall the right engine strut mount and bracket together with the Drive Belt while filling the cooling system.
