How to replace the lower control arm ball joint on 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?

To replace the lower control arm ball joint, remove the lower control arm first. Drill or grind off the ball stud rivet heads and use a hammer and drift punch to remove the rivets. Install the new ball stud by having the bolts pointing downwards and tightening the nuts before placing the lower control arm back in.
